Axsen (“the app”) is a sensor and hardware information viewer that runs entirely on your device. The principle is simple: the app does not collect, upload, sell or share any personal data.
We collect no data
The app contains no networking code, no accounts, and no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or third-party SDKs. The developer has no access to anything you see in the app.
Information read on your device
To show readings on screen, the app reads the following on your device. Readings are kept in memory only, sampling stops when the app goes to the background, and everything is discarded when the app closes. Nothing is written to files or leaves your device.
| Information | Purpose | Permission |
|---|---|---|
| Location: coordinates, altitude, speed, heading | GNSS location and compass on the Sensors tab | Location “While Using the App”; you can decline |
| Motion & Fitness: steps, activity, air pressure | Steps, floors, activity type, barometric altitude | Motion & Fitness; you can decline |
| Accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer | Attitude gauges and raw sensor charts | None |
| Advertisements from nearby Bluetooth Low Energy devices | Name, signal strength and manufacturer after you tap “Scan Nearby Devices”. The app never connects | Bluetooth, requested only when you start a scan |
| Network status, interface addresses, traffic counters, cellular radio technology, audio route | Network and audio information on the Connectivity tab | None |
| Model, chip, memory, storage, battery, CPU load, boot time | Hardware and system status on the Device tab | None |
Settings stored on your device
The app keeps a few interface preferences locally, such as which detail sections are expanded, how the Bluetooth list is sorted and filtered, and whether a hint banner was dismissed. They contain no personal information and are removed when you delete the app.
Shared images
The app creates an image of the current readings only when you tap Share. By default precise location is hidden, with coordinates rounded to about 1 km, and so are IP addresses and Bluetooth and audio device names. You decide where the image goes through the system share sheet. Saving to Photos asks for “Add Photos Only” access; the app never reads your photo library.
Managing permissions
You can change these permissions at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security, or in Settings › Axsen. Declining a permission only hides the related section; everything else keeps working.
This website
axsen.app uses no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. The bubble level on the home page reads your device’s motion sensors inside the browser only after you allow it, and those readings are never transmitted.
Children’s privacy
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, this page and its effective date will be updated. If a future version handles data differently in a material way, the App Store release notes will say so.
