Common questions
- Why do some sections say “Not Supported”?
- Readings depend on your hardware. iPad has no pedometer or activity recognition, and some models lack a barometer, UWB or LiDAR. Tap the exclamation-mark button at the top right of the Sensors tab to see what your device supports.
- Why is there no location or step data?
- Make sure Location and Motion & Fitness are allowed in Settings › Axsen. GNSS signals are weak indoors, so the first fix can take a moment by a window or outdoors.
- Does it work offline or in Airplane Mode?
- Yes. Every reading comes from on-device sensors, and GNSS keeps working in Airplane Mode.
- Why can’t I see Wi-Fi signal strength, satellite count, carrier name or battery health?
- iOS does not expose this information to third-party apps. Axsen only shows what public APIs provide.
- Why doesn’t the Bluetooth scan find my headphones?
- Axsen can only see Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements. Classic Bluetooth devices, devices that stop advertising once connected elsewhere, and iBeacons do not appear. A device not heard for 15 seconds drops off the list.
- Why is the location in a shared image imprecise?
- “Hide Precise Location” and “Hide Network Identifiers” are on by default in the share sheet. Turn them off before creating the image if you need full values.
- Does Axsen upload my data?
- No. Axsen has no network requests, accounts, ads or analytics. See the privacy policy for details.
